The ripple effect caused by feeding hungry schoolchildren is simply breathtaking. It alleviates hunger & wasting among children. Improves academic performance and motivates teachers to put in their best. It increases enrollments and attendance. It also brings quality to the overall efforts of the govt and amplifies the impact of the govt spends on nutrition programs.

The Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, a registered Indian charity, provides Morning Nutrition to needy school going children. The Annapoorna Morning Nutrition Program has provided 250 million meals to date. Currently the program feeds 30,00,000 children at school, across 35,000+ Govt Schools in 23 States and 4 Union Territories.

Annapoorna Trust has come up with four Morning Nutrition Menus to cater to the requirements of the local region/state where the Morning Nutrition is being served.

OPTION 1 : SAISURE MALT MULTINUTRIENT HEALTH MIX

SaiSure Malt Multi Nutrient Health Mix launched in February 2019 is designed to cater to the demands of vital macronutrients and micronutrients of a healthy individual. SaiSure is an example of Annapoorna Trust adding value to the milk scheme(Ksheera Bhagya) at Government schools where the government provides milk to children, while Annapoorna Trust adds the nutritional element in the form of the health mix. With Annapoorna SaiSure Mix, a simple glass of milk instantly becomes a life-sustaining meal providing half of minimum daily requirements for nutrition.

SaiSure is an unique and much needed multi nutrient supplement programme for children offered totally free of cost. The composition is conceived keeping the demands of vital nutrients for normal progeny and potential future adult healthy life. It has negligible levels of cholesterol and sodium, to promote heart wellness. In addition, ragi contains considerable quantities of vitamins C and E, to boost immune, skin, and hair health. OPTION 3: COOKED BREAKFAST AT GOVT. SCHOOL KITCHEN

Customised to Regional Palate

Where sophisticated kitchen infrastructure, as well as cooks, are available, cooked breakfast is provided, customized to the regional palate. The menu is meticulously planned, making sure that the breakfast is wholesome in its nutrition quotient and meets quality standards.

OPTION 4: BASIC FOODS SUITABLE WHERE COOKING FOOD IS NOT FEASIBLE

SaiSure Chikkis or nutritious cookies or bananas are provided to school children through the academic year.

This service keeps away hunger during classes.
